Subverting The Female Stereotype

The first president of the United States, the infamous George Washington had no biological children but was still considered a founding father. Wouldn’t it be apropos to have our nation's next leader be the same?

In JD Vance’s recent attempted slander of women, and by default VP Kamala Harris, he used the phrase that our country can no longer be run by childless cat ladies, forging a backlash in the media. The perception and treatment of male leaders versus female ones still face great disparities and a plethora of misinformation. Let me femalesplain some of it to you.

First off, the mere concept of a cat woman as an old maid surrounded by endless felines is false. This stereotype is both archaic and inaccurate. In fact, more men are cat owners than women. For example, there is an increase, particularly in Gen Z men and cat ownership. But social media is filled with endless posts by proud men of all shapes and sizes loving their cats.
